Thomas Wade
is a Canadian singer-songwriter who first made his mark as the Lead Singer and Creative force behind the Juno Nominated Thomas Wade and Wayward. Between '96 and 2002, as a part of Wayward, and with his solo career Thomas racked up 13 top 20 hits and was a major presence on Country Music Television with 12 videos.
After years of struggling with an undiagnosed illness that gradually took his singing ability and eventually afflicted his speech he retired from singing. His last concert tour was in 2002.
Finally in 2006 Thomas was found to have a rare neurological disorder called Oromandibular Dystonia. Since his last show he has kept busy as a songwriter, and as a music producer.
In 2004 Celine Dion recorded the Thomas Wade composition, Come to Me.
In January 2010, through alternative therapies and cutting edge brain science Thomas began to recover and is currently working on his voice, writing and recording an album with his new group, RIVER DEEP.
He is the Subject of a Documentary currently being filmed, set for release in 2012.
Lying Here With You was co-written with Cyril Rawson, and was a number one video for Thomas Wade and Wayward in 1997. The song remains a Canadian Classic.
